The Bilge Pumps made a run down I-45 for our first visit to the Houston Hot Sauce Festival where we put on a 2 hour show and promptly lost 40 pounds of water weight sweating to the 17th century oldies during the show in 100% humidity. Then, just for good measure, we lost another 40 pounds of water weight sweating through our eyes after trying some of the extremely hot sauces being sampled at the festival. We all head a great time, except for John Crow who might never be the same after a run in with AKA Stupid Hot, voted the hottest hot sauce in the festival 3 years running. Man, that's hot!

The Bilge Pumps show up in 120% humidity to perform for the fire-eating masses at the Hot Sauce Festival.

After a long delay in getting power to the stage (thanks Reliant), our sound guy gets cracking on sound checks before he realized he really needn't have bothered.

The Bilge Pumps get their own table to sell merchandise, then leave it unmanned so people can steal from it in the true pirate tradition.

"Cape Cod Girls" is Harvey's excuse to make the audience members have to sweat along side him.

Just in case the humidity wasn't high enough, it starts raining during the middle of the show. Thank Davey for the roof overhead.

Harvey, Phil, and John dive off the stage to make the audience dance along side them during "Sailor's Hornpipe".

That action's so fast it's blurry as Harvey didn't like the fact the rain did not hit us directly because of the roof, so he spits on John during "Congo River"

John Crow gets the brunt of Harvey's dance of seduction in Galleon O'Galleon's absence.

John Crow couldn't stand it and had to try the hottest sauce in the festival, AKA Stupid Hot. Here's a tip, never eat hot sauce made by a real fireman.

That means he spent the rest of the afternoon sweating with his tongue hanging out with bloodshot eyes eating all the bread in sight.
