The Bilge Pumps hit 2001 with a new pride in ourselves with the creation/release of our new CD "Greatest Hits Vol. VIII" and a full slate of places to spread our joy. The year also saw the disappearance/reappearance of Kailyn Dammit the Gunner and a farewell to Phil McGroin the First Mate, Squeegy the Cabin Boy, and Squint the Lookout from our regular lineup. Not to be deterred, we welcomed Harvey the Corpsman, Galleon O'Galleon the Pilot and Mop the Swabbie into the crew. We also polished off Hawkwood, the festival that spawned us all.

In this here treasure chest lies the irrefutable proof that The Bilge Pumps came and plundered a town near you in the year 2001. We always seem to have fun wherever we go. All we have to do now is convince the people we've robbed that they were having fun too!
