With a Danatopian in town, there has to be a local show to keep us from getting the Danatopian Air Force called on us. So here we are, a return the the premier Irish Pub in Dallas.
It'll be another Thursday night, so if you have a vacation day, feel free to use it on Friday so you can stay up late with the pirates. As usual, the only way we get invited back to the Tipp is when our audience supports the bar and the band by eating and drinking and all around spending money at the establishment. So no stopping by McDonald's on the way there. Remember, we're watching!
Talk like a Pirate Day might fall on September 19th, but our pirate party will be taking place on the 20th! That means you're going to have to talk like a pirate for 24 extra hours. I'll give you a hint how, it starts with a bottle of rum, then let your tongue wander.
We're back at Chandler's Landing (despite rumors that that party would move to a different marina) and it'll be a fun time on the lake as we gear up for the free food and booze to baste your buccaneer buns. No time is set as of yet, but check back here as it'll be posted as soon as we know.
We're coming baaack! The Bilge Pumps continue to do the (sort of) right things in the festival's eyes as we keep getting invited back. har har. We'll be back for the full eight weekends of the festival, which does include the Friday after Thanksgiving on the last weekend of the festival. We had a blast at the festival in 2007, so we're looking forward to coming back into King Henry's house, raising up a stink in the pubs, and getting into trouble with the other pirates around.
We're going to be back at the Wharfside Gazebo stage this year, though we don't know yet what our showtimes will be. Though you can bet as soon as we know, we'll have them posted posted about two inches the the right of where you're reading.
The Bilge Pumps won't be having alligator for Christmas this year as we'll be missing the Louisiana festival this year (Click here for an explanation why) and heading back to the world that Charles Dickens invented and raiding Dickens on the Strand.
Details are a bit sketchy as the event's still a long way off, but we'll likely be splitting time between singing at Pier 21 by the tall ship Elissa and hitting various stages in the Strand itself. In the meantime we'll be spreading our oooey-gooey pirate Christmas carols around and generally giving everyone the gift of nausea for the holidays.
Wnat to know when the Bilge Pumps are performing near you??
