Muskogee, OK     May 3 - 18, 2003

A return to Muskogee was just what the corpsman ordered for pirates looking for applause! The Bilge Pumps return to their busiest festival of the year and placed a different lineup onstage each weekend (in our customary fashion). However, the more things change, the more they stay the same, because we bring the same insanity to the stage no matter who's there. Had a blast performing to our fans in OK-land as well as coming up with some dirty rhymes to "Donkey Riding" in the adult pub for the Smoker. What more can a scurvy band of scallywags ask for? We also said goodbye to two of the band members as Mop the Swabbie and Kailyn Dammit the Gunner retired from the band, headed for smoother waters.

It's handfuls of booty for the whole crew during "Pirating the Seas". Looks like Mop got more than he could handle.

E steals Maroon's nose and hides it in his pocket. We're assuming it's so Maroon won't have to smell his own coat.

Just when you thought you'd seen everything there is to see at a Bilge Pumps show.

Our friend Tara from Tullamore jumps onstage with us to play "The Dark Lady". We always like to see her.

The poor wittle piwates cwy for Charlie Mops during "Beer".

It'll take these kids 2 years and $10,000 worth of therapy to block out the memory of them doing the Harvey Dance onstage.

By taking his pants off for $5.00, Mop just proves that you can take the boy out of the whore, but you can't take the whore out of the boy.

Kailyn Dammit the Gunner made a guest weekend appearance to give everyone a last chance to hear the real "Johnny Jump Up".

And then he and the crew were promptly rewarded by Tower Ice Cream with leftover buckets of Hagen Daas.

A dead Maroon proves to be too much weight for Harvey to handle on "The Night Pat Murphy Died".

Phil McGroin tries to do a version of Manolete's act with his own fuzzy pelotas.

Squint the Lookout made it down for a guest weekend as well and was reunited with Squeegy for "Old Dun Cow".

Sometimes Maroon can't even look at E, or the whole song goes to hell.

The 'Pumps fall in behind Tullamore during the royal death march.. er.. parade. You figure they'd know better that to have pirates looking at their booty all day.

Sometimes the ghost of Tina Turner cannot be contained in Squint during "Roll the Woodpile Down".

This is the look Phil will often get when he's trying to come up with a rhyme for a tough city on "Donkey Riding".

Maroon, E, and Harvey do their best to impress the talent scout in the audience looking for lounge singer acts in Vegas.

Mop acts like he doesn't like the attention he gets from the crew, but we all know better.

Our thanks go to Mary Dossey and Donna Fagans for the picture donations.
