The Bilge Pumps - Past Landings: University of Oklahoma Medieval Fair 2003

Norman, OK April 4 - 6, 2003

This year, the medieval fair moved to a new location from the university duck pond to Reaves Park just off the campus. The weather was great, the new location was better, and our fans were the best as The Bilge Pumps made a return pillage of the village at the OU Medieval Faire. We had a blast debuting our new CD Brigands with Big'uns and selling Mop's clothes (and his dignity) for $37.00!

Friday was a tough day since there was no cabin boy around for the pirates to relieve their stress.	Our lil' Squeegy was back on Saturday, though... and apparently has learned some Mexican guitar poses.	No festival experience is complete for a patron without being forced to do the Harvey Dance onstage.
Methinks Maroon loves his drum a bit too much during "Donkey Riding".	Phil McGroin looks waaaay too anxious to hunt down that whore in the audience during "Drunken Sailor".	The booty grabbin onstage during "Pirating the Seas" gets to be a little too much for Mop when E's booty is the target.
Maroon shows the proper way to treat a cabin boy during "Pirating the Seas".	It looks like either E is really scared by Mop's hand, or Mop planted a bomb in E's crotch.	Since we're on the topic of funny-lookin' hair...
Poor Squeegy. You almost feel sorry for him sometimes. Hey, I said almost.	Mop takes the first step in losing his dignity by baring his getaway sticks to the audience.	E congratulates Mop after he finished his degredation by stripping down to only his underwear for a measly $37.00.
Harvey and Phil show no respect for the dead on "The Night Pat Murphy Died".	Harvey gets ready to run from Mount St. E's eruption on "Congo River".	Squeegy finally relaxes onstage... unfortunately Maroon wasn't wearing his yellow pants that day.
Squeegy starts flashdancing during "Old Dun Cow".	The he proceeds to milk to audience out of every drop of applause.	Maroon can only bury his head in the drum again to escape from the spectacle.
Mop pulls a Michael Jackson by dangling a child off the stage in harms way.	Between shows, Lorna can only look on in fear as E and Maroon compete in a dangerous game of stretch.	When two large pirates are forced to stretch too much, the results are predictable.

Another in-between show show is... pirate poses! Where money in the hat forces them to change their pose.	Squeegy finally gets to ride someone instead of the other way around.
At's always in hard poses like this, you end up having to stay the longest.	See? Doesn't this look like fun?
