Norman, OK     April 4 - 6, 2014

The Bilge Pumps stormed into the 38th Annual Medieval Fair on the winds of.. well.. a storm! We managed to attempt to record two shows and actually record two more for possible inclusion on our new album Bail Money. We also managed to hook back up with Aloysius Smeesy the Ship's Carpenter for the first time in 10 years doing a set of "Songs we've been performing since at least 2004". Though our Sunday featured cold winds and rain, there were still some brave and hearty folks out dying to see the shows we managed to actually get recorded. (Sorry for all of you who showed up on Saturday) Now we know there is one constant at the Medieval Faire through the years: Come rain or shine, cold weather or hot... the line to the root beer booth will always be long.

It's the Medieval Fair again and the Bilge Pumps are just hanging out again.

The Bilge Pumps welcome back Aloysius the Carpenter to the stage for the first time in 10 years... then make him dance the "Banana Boat Song".

The audience must have known Aloysius was coming as they seemed very exciting

The band breaks out their version of "Farewell to Nova Scotia".

Splice the Rigger breaks out the clothes from his special drawer for "Biddy McGrath".

John Crow the Cook and Harvey the Corpsman collide in their attempts to flee the ghost of Biddy McGrath.

You know? We were there and we still don't know what we were doing right here.

Oh yeah, feel the grove emanating from this pack of rhythm during the rap portion of "Shiver My Timbers"

At this point, Pat Murphy's been dead so long, he might as well be laid out for pirate jerky.

There's never a shortage of fun-lovin' dudes to take the stage with Harvey calls during "Cape Cod Girls"

The band practices reaching for the sky to prepare for their inevitable arrest

The Pumpettes are out in force in Norman, where they are of the highest concentration

Maroon shows off his excited nipples during the extended version of "Old Dun Cow".

Maroon finishes off "Old Dun Cow" by singing "Let it Go" from Frozen... after consulting his daughter for help with the lyrics.

Sunday was a rain day, but that didn't stop us from recording two shows for the new album, and then perform this super drenched show to finish off the festival

If there's one constant at the Medieval Fair, it's that the root beer line continues to be long no matter what the weather's like.
