Galveston, TX     Sunday, May 28

The Bilge Pumps made our first appearance at the Stuttgarden Tavern on the Strand in Galveston and ended up changing an entire day as we turned Sunday into a Saturday for Memorial Day weekend. We did our nautical best to keep the music, humor, and booze flowing into the ears, eyes, and mouths of the islanders. We even managed to keep John Crow out of the water behind our stage area.

The rock stage at the Stuttgarden is set and the gravelly voices are about to pour forth.

Jack the Rum Runner partakes of the grand pirate tradition of cheating... by reading the lyrics.

John Crow the Cook steals the didjeridu while Harvey the Corpsman prepares to beat him soundly for it... and for other reasons.

John Crow is never as comfortable as when he's surrounded by huge kegs of beer.

As the sun goes down, the lights get more colorful, along with the humor. Oh, an Jack turns into a ghost.

What better way to wrap up the evening than by singing a song of kids getting slowly digested by alligators?
