The Bilge Pumps - Past Landings: Medieval Fair of Norman 2022

Norman, OK April 1 - 3, 2022

We made our way back across the Red River into Sooner country again after a three year absence due to the pandemic. Luckily, the weather held nice and we took on the task of outlasting the rootbeer vendor and making friends with the beerbeer vendor. The still-under-construction Reaves Park caused a few headaches and parking issues for the patrons, but judging from the sheer amount of Okies we saw there, it didn't stop many from attending. We had a good time reconnecting with our red dirt family.

With John Crow still out of commission and Fanny tending to him, the Bilge Pumps were reduced to 5 for the festival.	We still had enough crew to man our pirate goods booth, though.	Splice the Rigger leads the audience through the highly singable Blow the Man Down.
Splice decides to spice up the show even more with some lingerie during Biddy McGrath.	In addition to layout changes, the festival had a new root beer booth this year as well. Still the same crowd stuck with hearing our show, though.	Maroon the Shantyman strikes a pose that shows the trend the comedy in the show will be taking.
Harvey the Corpsman sings to the crowd about Florida babysitters during Rippy the Gator.	It's like Splice is carved in marble like the Roman legends of old.	Harvey gets the audience to dress appropriately for his island time during The Isle of Tortuga.
