The Bilge Pumps returned to the Strand in Galveston to put on a concert of our very own, Pirates in the Park. Taking place on the Saturday before Talk Like a Pirate Day, Pirates in the Park gave the band a chance to give a free show to our bay area fans and the city that has given us so much since the beginning. The sun and humidity came out to play as well, forcing the band to strip off layer of costuming to get through the day's sets. The show also featured the return of John Crow the Cook for the first time since his sickness/hospitalization earlier in the year.

The sponsor banners are in place and the stage is almost set. Big thanks go to A Pirate's Life, VisitGalveston.com, and Railean Distillers!

For the first set of the day, we had John Crow back on stage with us! 'Course, the heat was so bad, he only made it one set. He was the smart one.

By the time the third set rolled around, Jack and Elizabeth had joined the group and we were past the heatstroke stage of the show.
