The Bilge Pumps - Past Landings: Swashbuckler's Soiree 2012
Galveston, TX     July 21, 2012
The Swashbuckler's Soiree was back for the fifth time, and we made sure to make it a night to remember. Probably not because the the high-quality Bilge Pumps music, but by the fact everyone's ears are still ringing from the sound of our amplified voices!
We performed for four hours on a lovely evening at the Texas Seaport Museum while everyone in their finest piratical finery mingled about and bid on all sorts of cool silent auction items and raffle tickets for the grand prizes with the proceeds going to benefit the Galveston Arts Center.
We had a good time seeing our pirate friends again and thank them all for their help in keeping us upright at the end of a long day.
John Crow the Cook crashed hard before the show after a long day of performing in the Strand.
The pirate crowd gathers at the Seaport Musuem to buy some stuff, drink some rum, and listen to the bilge pumps and lose it all again.
Slice the Rigger and John Crow both seem to be way too pleased with themselves on this song, so obviously, the monitors were not working.
This was about 2 seconds before Maroon the Shantyman finished turning into a demon and eating Harvey the Corpsman's head.
Sharkbait Simon the Scapegoat just tries to ignore all the rest of the band and "focus on the music".
The band kicks off the set with a bit of "Nancy Whiskey" from their new album.
Harvey the Corpsman summons up some pirate spiritual healing for the unwashed masses
