Hammond, LA     November 4 - 19, 2006

Heading back into Hammond on the first three weekends of the festival again, the Bilge Pumps helped to kick off the festival in style by performing for the fun-loving fans in the Painted Badger Pub. We shared the pub with the Limey Birds and only managed to get in their way about a dozen times a day or so. Funny how that only seems to happen with women acts. Hmmm. Regardless, even with the loss of our beloved Sharkbait for 2 of the 3 weekends as he prepared for the arrival of his baby girl, the Bilge Pumps sailed on into the horizon, leaving a wake of good times and rodgered goats behind us.

For the 1st weekend of the festival, we got to play guitar songs as Sharkbait actually made it, but after that he stayed home on a baby watch.

The group clusters around Galleon in an attempt to make him mess up on "Queen of Argyll". They didn't really have to try hard.

You know is a cold morning when all the Bilge Pumps wear their great coats at the same time.

That's a very strange bong that Maroon is lighting up on stage.

During their request show, the Bilge Pumps break into the Harvey-tized version of "Danny Boy".

Harvey picks himself up quite a catch during the "3 Song".

The Brobdingnagian Bards and the Limey Birds get caught in the dance fever that is the "Sailor's Hornpipe".

Maroon is forced to turn his back in disgust when Galleon and Harvey try to get their rock on.

Harvey and Lyssa play the drum mallet game and add a new twist where they have to get the mallets to go thru the hole between John Crow's ears.

The Bilge Pumps don't play fair when it comes to collecting tips... we use the weapon of cuteness!

Galleon, Phil, and Farrah fire off their pistols to announce the beginning of the show...

..And the crowd comes in to the pre-show entertainment of Harvey's awful jokes.

While the crowd gets restless with Harvey's jokes, Maroon argues with his chalk about what songs to put on the set list.

Either everyone's acting like choir boys, or Phil and John are doing their synchronized ski jump impressions.

The Bilge Pumps appear to be taken by a holy power... though I think it comes from the other direction.

Harvey emerges backstage with his coconuts hanging out there for all the world to see.

And John Crow can only react in horror to the sight... yet still feeling stangely aroused by it.

Galleon and Harvey grow weary of the whole singing thing and just break into a game of patty-cake.

Galleon and Phil play a game of rock, paper, scissors to see who gets to sing lead on "Black & Tans".

Looks like Phil won.

Maroon gets down and didjy and Harvey gets to play drums on "Wop Jamboree"
