The Diamond was an actual whaling ship that whaled the Davis Straits around 1812. It was lost in 1830 when it and 25 other whaling ships were caught in the ice in Melville Bay, including the Resolution and the Eliza Swan.
The version we perform leans heavily on the Bob Dylan version recorded in 1967. But, hey, who doesn't lean on Bob Dylan? This remix of track one from the album gives the song a much darker feel with the inclusion of the bass elements.

Vocals: all, Guitar: Christopher Dallion, Bass: Christopher Dallion, Doumbek: Craig Lutke
